December 2017 Kudos - Greg Zanis
By Judy Neiman
Greg Zanis, a carpenter from Aurora, Ill, built, delivered & set up 58 crosses on the south end of the Las Vegas strip to commemorate the lives lost in the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history. This is Inclusive Kindness with the right incentive. He receives nothing in return. True Kindness acts should never expect something in return. Mr. Zanis has been making these crosses and has delivered them throughout the United States. It’s his way of showing love & respect. He has made over 20,000 and delivered, to all the victims of the killers, including Columbine, Orlando, Sandy Hook, Sugarland, TX, CA, unfortunately the list is long and continues. Blessings to Zanis. Now, Greg expects he'll soon point his pickup toward another destination where he'll have more grief -- and crosses -- to bear.
There were many kindnesses in Vegas and many are still happening. But I believe smaller works of Kindness may be just as important to all. Kindness Acts were witnessed during, & after the killing spree in Las Vegas and they are still happening. God Bless Las Vegas. God Bless all the towns who have lost so many.
All Kindness should be INCLUSIVE.
Kindness is not only for the beautiful people, not only for the rich, not only for the people like you. I believe true inclusive kindness is more than, “Hi, how are you today.” Or, “I’m so sorry to hear about your heartache.” I believe it would be a truer Kindness to add, “Would you like to set with our group. We’d love to have you.” Why don’t you join our group for lunch, or coffee.”
Blessings to all SedonaKind members and their families. Be joyful and have a wonderful Holiday Season.
